Classic Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp cornstarch for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet. Stir-fry beef until browned, remove. Add broccoli, garlic, and ginger; stir-fry until crisp-tender.
  3. Whisk remaining soy sauce with 1 tbsp cornstarch and 1/2 cup water for the sauce.
  4. Return beef to the pan, pour in sauce, and cook until thickened. Serve immediately with rice.

Tips

  • Slice beef against the grain for maximum tenderness.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan; cook beef in batches if necessary for a good sear.
